ReplyDeleteAfter having watched the documentary, I'm still horrified at the atrocities that the Aztecs have done. I was aware that all civilizations practiced human sacrificing, but the Aztecs really took to another level when they killed the princess and one of the dancers used her skin as clothing while he danced. They flailed her to honor the God of fertility, but all of it is just really horrifying.

I believe we aren't in the position to judge their actions because this was all they knew. Same can be said for slavery, it was rationalized in their own way because people back then thought differently.
